Creating Can Be Messy

This past Saturday, I baked a cake. I’m not talking about just opening up a box. I’m talking about dragging out the KitchenAid mixer (dusting it off) and measuring some stuff. My man loves him some wedding cake. So, I had this bright idea to bake a wedding cake for Father’s day.

I laid out the choices for him, white cake with white icing, white with chocolate,  chocolate cake with white icing (which is his fav), chocolate with chocolate. He surprised me – white cake with chocolate icing. The process began.

Ingredients were spread across our kitchen and chocolate icing was spread across…well across everywhere. The cake was delicious and the mess was worth the masterpiece.

That’s kinda where I find myself on the website these days. Along with Carol Poortvliet, The Design Diva, and Mandy Roberson with Mandy Roberson Media, we are redesigning my web home. I wanted you to know why I’ve been a bit quiet lately. Ingredients are spread everywhere. They are the KitchenAid mixer and all those good ingredients. I’m the taste tester. I’m good with that because I have seen the mock-ups and the mess will be worth the delicious results. Just thinking about this makes me thankful that a little messy didn’t stop God as He created us – His masterpieces.

Add your info in the yellow box, right side of my website. And, don’t forget to confirm your email address from your inbox. I will send you a free thank you gift for subscribing.

When our masterful creation is complete, Carol, Mandy and I will have created a website that will not only inform about my new Hope Coaching ministry, but will encourage us all to pursue hope with all we have. I covet your prayers. More than ever, I need Holy Spirit to anoint my words – whether spoken or written – with His power, His wisdom, His compassion, and His understanding.

Will you pray for me and every person with whom I have contact? My prayer is that Jesus, the ultimate life coach and hope giver, will shine so very brightly through His divine connections.

  2. “Will you pray for me and every person with whom I have contact? My prayer is that Jesus, the ultimate life coach and hope giver, will shine so very brightly through His divine connections.” (Carmen’s Request)

I am committing to praying just that for the rest of the year Carmen!
Can’t wait to see how God blesses your efforts… :-)

(And, by the way, I could totally see you with flowered apron, flour dusted hands/cheeks and frosting on your fingertips!)

Bet your cake was yummy and your blog will be tasteful too!
