Answering the Uncomfortable Questions on Dreaming

While attending Christy Wright’s Business Boutique a few weeks ago, I saw this phrase…

Dream Big Pray Bigger

Do you have dreams and goals for the future? The perfectionist in me struggles with dreaming. I mean, if I don’t dream or have a goal, I can’t miss it, can I?

It seems I have been surrounded lately with people who want me to dream. Uncomfortable questions like, “If money were no object and it didn’t depend on your ability.” kind of dreams. My word, it’s almost like they think big things can happen in our world, without us being able to conceive them, create them, plan them, execute them…

Because those people God has placed around me keep pushing, I thought, why not write something down. I could write it in pencil, just in case. It’s June, I only have one half of the year left. That will be a good excuse if I need it.

We can dream for others, can’t we? I can see all the possibilities, all the talent and gifts, all the options laying before them – them. Why do I hesitate for myself?

The Holy Spirit within tells me that you might be looking at the same blank sheet of paper.

Go ahead. Write something down. I did. Just one thing. Hide it from the world if you must. Then pray bigger.

I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work. For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think.” Isaiah 55:8, MSG
